Kirkland Scores in Oil Spill MDL; Judge Rules Anadarko Must Arbitrate Claims, Tosses RICO Suits Against BP

A federal judge on Friday granted BP’s motion to stay Anadarko Petroleum’s cross-claims in the multidistrict litigation over the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, ruling that BP could force Anadarko to honor an arbitration agreement. BP also won dismissal of a slate of RICO claims.
